My fee is $225 per 50‑minute session.

I periodically review and adjust my fee (usually every couple of years) to stay in line with my level of training and with other licensed therapists in the area.

When we decide that meeting more than once a week is clinically appropriate, I may be able to offer a reduced rate for those additional sessions.

Fees

Scheduling and Cancellations

Your appointment time is held just for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give at least 48 hours’ notice.

If we’re unable to reschedule and I’m not able to fill your time slot, the full session fee will be charged for late cancellations or missed sessions, except in true emergencies.

Standard sessions are 50 minutes. Sessions end at the scheduled time, whether you arrive on time or late, and the full fee is still due. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early so you can make the most of our time together.

I am not currently a preferred provider in any insurance networks but am happy to provide a bill that will be suitable for reimbursement by whatever carrier you have.  In addition, I offer some lower fee slots and reduce my fees for therapies in which we meet multiple times per week. Please call me to discuss my fees and your financial need.

Good Faith Estimate

In accordance with the "No Surprises Act," you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your medical care will cost. For therapy clients in the San Francisco Bay Area, this estimate of annual charges is available upon request at any time during our work together.

The estimate is based on our agreed-upon fee and the expected frequency of our sessions. It is intended for informational purposes only to support informed decision-making and reduce financial anxiety; it is not a binding contract. My goal is to ensure you feel empowered and clear about your financial commitment as you prioritize your mental well-being.

The confidentiality and privacy of what you discuss in therapy is an important personal right of yours. All information disclosed within sessions is confidential and will not be revealed to others without your written permission except where required by law.

Please note that in certain situations involving your safety and the safety of others, I am required by law to discuss your case with other people. Those situations include:

  1. If you threaten to harm another person(s) and are a creditable threat.

  2. When necessary, if you pose a serious threat to your own health and safety.

  3. All instances of suspected child abuse must be reported.

  4. All instances of suspected abuse of an elder/dependent must be reported.

  5. If a court orders me to release my records, I must do so.

If you have any questions about these limits of confidentiality, please ask me for further explanation.

Confidentiality

Client Rights

You have the right to receive information about my methods, my recommendations, and my fee structure. You have the right to participate in setting goals, asking questions, and being a full participant in the therapeutic process.

You also have the right to terminate services at any time. However, if you should decide to terminate therapy before it is mutually agreed upon, I ask that you consider one final session to “wrap things up. “ Lastly, you always have a right to file a grievance if you feel any of your client rights have been denied.

I aim to be available to all those I work with who are in crisis; however, if I am not available in an emergency or there is an immediate safety risk, please call 911.
